I am available on a selective basis for independent psychiatric consultation, record review, written opinion, deposition, and testimony in matters that fall within my training and clinical experience.
My clinical work is in consultation-liaison psychiatry: psychiatric diagnosis and treatment when significant medical illness, neurological disease, organ dysfunction, or a complicated medication regimen is part of the case. Potential engagements may include questions involving psychiatric differential diagnosis, psychopharmacology, drug interactions and adverse effects, cardiac conduction risk, renal or hepatic dosing, and the adequacy of psychiatric assessment and treatment in medically complex patients.
Scope and independence
An engagement is accepted only after review for conflicts, fit, deadlines, and the precise question to be addressed. I do not offer an opinion before reviewing adequate relevant material, and I do not accept work that falls outside my expertise. Retention does not depend on the conclusion reached.
Independent work is separate from the clinical practice. It is not provided within an existing or prospective treatment relationship, and an enquiry about expert work does not create a physician-patient relationship.

Include only enough information to permit a preliminary conflicts and scope review: the names of the parties, the general subject of the matter, the jurisdiction, and any material deadline. Do not send medical records, protected health information, or confidential case material through the website.
If the matter is one I can consider, document exchange occurs through a secure channel. Fees, timing, scope, and the terms of the engagement are set out in a separate written agreement.
