For clinicians

Clinician tools

These are tools I use in my own practice. Other clinicians are welcome to use them. They run in a web browser and need no account or installation.

Check their output against the original sources and your own clinical judgment.

Evidence Atlas

Version 1.2

Searches FDA drug application records for a medication and gathers the approval documents, trial registrations and European assessments in one place.

Drug names you search are sent to openFDA and to the National Library of Medicine's RxNorm service. Your notes are saved in your browser.

Treatment History Mapper

Version 1.8

Builds a medication trial history from pharmacy dispensing records and the patient's recollection: which drugs, at what doses, for how long, and why each was stopped.

Runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Your work is not saved unless you save a workspace file.

Open

Effect Size Workbench

Version 1.4

Calculates predictive values and post-test probability from a test's characteristics, and absolute risk difference and number needed to treat from trial results.

Runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Your workspace is saved in your browser.

Margin

Version 6

Turns textbook reading notes into Anki flashcards. Each card has a fixed ID, so editing a note later updates the card instead of creating a duplicate.

Runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Notes are saved in your browser; export a project file to back them up.
